Uljin DeLuca is the commanding officer of the 93rd Assault Cluster, part of Fer-De-Lance Galaxy. An overly aggressive and short tempered individual, he won both his position and Bloodname in a gruesome fashion. His behavior has drawn concern from the Clan’s leadership, with Hartford Zalman working to replace him since his appointment.
Career History
Uljin Steel Viper came out of his sibko with a chip on his shoulder, one of his kill during the Trial of Position having been stolen by another cadet. Immediately after, he called for a Trial of Grievance against his fellow cadet, which was not approved by their instructor. The young Star Commander had a tragic accident the next week as his ‘Mech exploded due to improperly stored ammunition. The Watch could never pin the murder on Uljin, but most people knew he had arranged it.
Over the years, Uljin DeLuca took two tours with The Burrocks to hone his combat skills. As a member of the reformed 93rd Assault Cluster, he also took part in various fights and trials against Clan Fire Mandrill, with mixed results. While he has ambitions to keep moving forward in the touman, a few of the leaders in the Steel Viper see him as too “old fashioned” in his way of thinking to be a proper asset.
Recent history
Uljin DeLuca was quite angry about not being included in the first wave of attacks against the Inner Sphere. He took it out against a garrison of Clan Blood Spirits against the orders of the Republican support officers. Having lost one of his Star Captain, he was assigned a former member of Alpha Galaxy, a mysterious woman named Kanna Ogata.
