Mordechai Nixon, born Mordechai Stanley-Nixon to the Rim Worlds Republic in Exile, joined a mixed sibko on his 6th birthday. His family was a poor noble family in the Republic, and they were offered this opportunity by the Steel Vipers thanks to their matrilineal line. Being “of the blood”, Mordechai Nixon is used to being underestimated by “trueborn”. He has, however, proven time and time again that he is a superior MechWarrior.
Career
Sibko
A small sibko in the Steel Vipers had suffered multiple losses due to a genetically modified measles strain affecting a lot of their students in 3114. Trying to bring back the numbers of the sibko back to their proper numbers, they opened up recruitment to various families in the Wolverines and Rim Worlds Republic. Cash payment was included with these “transfer ins”, leading some poorer families to send their kids to this military school.
Mordechai Stanley-Nixon was the 4th kid of the Stanley-Nixon family, which already had a hard time making ends meet. When he joined the sibko, the Handlers had no expectations for any of these “freeborn trash”, but some of them (Mordechai included) made good impression overall. By his 16th birthday, Mordechai (no last name anymore) was seen generally as perfectly apt candidate for the Clan’s warrior caste, outperforming many of his fellow cadets.
Position in the fight
As an “unsure asset”, Mordechai never received advanced implants for bioroid control after this Blooding, that he completed as a Star Commander. Assigned to the 51st Battle Cluster, he began fighting tooth and nail for a place in Gamma Galaxy’s leadership. His preference for fire support led him down an unusual path, commanding the artillery support unit for the 51st. Winning his bloodname through brain and brawn, he was a thorn in the side of Kathya Olezko, who saw him as a potential rival.
Current events
Mordechai Nixon’s 51st Battle Cluster was loaned out to the Steel Fang Galaxy from Gamma Galaxy after their operations against the Black Warriors. SaKhan Kathya Olezko saw this as an opportunity to keep pushing Mordechai further and possibly “forcibly retire” him. The bloodborn commander was happy to stay on the front-line, but also snatched up one of the ristar of Gamma Galaxy in the newly minted Star Captain Cooper.
Mordechai Nixon’s BattleMech
Unusual for a unit commander, Mordechai Nixon pilots a Naga artillery OmniMech, often reconfigured for front line service.
