Jasmyn Nels is the commander of the 2^nd regiment of The Dioscuri, a mercenary unit in service of the Lyran Commonwealth. While her older brother Owen is grooming her to take over command of the mercenary unit, she cannot see herself as a commanding officer and generally commands “by committee” with other executives in her unit.

Early Life

Jasmyn, like her older brother Owen, never expected to have to command anything as part of the Dioscuri. Training as a MechWarrior still from a young age, she passed most training exercises with good results and even was sent to The Nagelring for 3 years. During that stint, in 3131, her mother and her older brother Wilson died in an operation against Clan Wolf. The middle child of the family, Owen, took command of the unit as Jasmyn finished her time at the academy.

Current Career

With formal military training at one of the top academies in the Sphere, Jasmyn has a better “pedigree” for command then her older brother. While most of the unit is happy with the current arrangement with Owen as commander of the 1^st regiment and Jasmyn as commander of the 2^nd, Jasmyn is being prepared to take command of the unit altogether by Owen. Jasmyn never feels ready for the task, while Owen keeps taking simple contracts in order to both grow the prestige of their unit and Jasmyn’s confidence.
