Warrior House Dai Da Chi

Warrior House Dai Da Chi is one of the major Warrior Houses of the Capellan Confederation. They are the largest Warrior House formation, with 2 battalions of Battlemech and 1 full air wing of Aerospace Fighters. They are technically based on Drozan, but the bulk of their fighting force is generally deployed on coreward worlds. It has been enduring since its formation in 2991 and while they suffered losses in recent years, they remain one of the better equipped and managed Warrior House of the Confederation.

Recent History

House Dai Da Chi is close to McCarron’s Armored Cavalry after their joint operations on Palos in 3134. The “betrayal” of House McCarron during the Capellan-Star League War angered many of the Warrior House’s elite warriors. Cyrus McCarron supporting the new leader of the Capellan Confederation alleviated some of their doubts however, as they realized that Daoshen Liao’s leadership was compromised.

Prior to this, however, Warrior House Dai Da Chi had been damaged by continuous operations against the Republic of the Sphere and Federated Suns. Their first failure at taking Tikonov in 3145 cost them a great deal of manpower and even cleansing their honor later did not fully repair their unit. By the start of the Capellan – Star League War, the Warrior House was at 88% readiness.

Capellan – Star League War

Warrior House Dai Da Chi was mainly given defensive tasks during the Capellan – Star League War, moving their forces to various worlds to intercept or pin down Star League units performing raids. They were spared the meat grinder of Sirius, but the constant deployment and counter-deployment took a toll on their warriors. While they were not crippled, it became evident that they would need time to recuperate after the war, both in manpower and materiel.

Tactics

House Dai Da Chi prefers to fight standing battles rather than mobile warfare, favoring larger and heavier BattleMechs with lots of armor. This type of equipment favors them in defensive battles and tight quarters.

On an individual level, warriors of the house will often call out duels and challenges to enemies, something reminiscent of the Clan way of warfare.
