The Shield Breakers

The Seventh Tamarind Regulars is a military command of the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey. While technically a part of the Free Worlds League Military, all the Tamarind Regular units are not willing to serve outside of the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey or in operations related to it. The Seventh is one of the “more recent” units in the Tamarind Regulars, but has had a very prolific history in recent years.

In 3147, the Seventh fought elements of the III Legio of the Marian Hegemony on Tormentine. The Hegemony retaliated by hitting the Regulars on Gibraltar, which had to retreat to the Duchy proper. During the Marian War of Aggression, the Seventh fought the Marian Legions in the defense of multiple worlds and won multiple engagements.

As part of the cease-fire agreement between the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey and the Marian Hegemony, the Seventh Regulars were stationed on border worlds, supporting Camacho’s Caballeros. A secret agreement between Fontaine Marik and Ignatius O’Reilly allowed the Seventh and the Caballeros to deploy within Marian territory if required to fight off pirates, raiders and support the Marian in their conquest of the Illyrian Palatinates.

Tactics

The Seventh Tamarind have trained with various mercenary outfits, ranging from the Wolf’s Dragoons before their destruction to Camacho’s Caballeros. They are adept at irregular tactics and using “unorthodox” tactics to catch their opponents off guard.

Seventh Tamarind Regulars Paint Scheme

The Tamarind Regulars have adopted a paint scheme of white with purple highlights, with the Tamarind trefoil featured in green. (as per Camo Specs)

The Seventh is generally known for using “local unit” or mercenary unit schemes to disguise their presence.
