Kallon Weapon Industries was conceived due to legal ramifications of operating in multiple realms by Kallon Industries. While both companies have the same board of directors, they are each independent branches and technically “serve” different national sponsors. While the Clan Invasion and the easing of tensions between the Inner Sphere states helped the companies get closer, there remains an odd “forbidden door” between the division still.
Recent History
Kallon Weapon Industries biggest loss was the destruction of the Talon megaplex during the Jihad. The moon was already barely habitable, but the Word of Blake made sure the automated and semi-automated factories could never be used again. This destroyed the headquarter of KWI, who had to relocate planetside on Wernke III.
Salvaging the operation on Talon was deemed impossible financially (at least for now), even with the help of Clan Sea Fox. The mining assets and refining assets on Talon were restored, however, allowing for it to feed the industries planetside once again. By the end of the century, it is possible that Kallon Weapon Industries wills start more salvaging operations.
Outside of this, KWI was granted control of the Nanking operations for the global company while the planet was under Federated control during the early 32nd century. They also established an office and production facility on Victoria, which is contested between the two parts of the organization. This is mostly for show, however, so that the Capellan Confederation does not shut down the factory or repossess it.
Manufacturing
Kiklin
The Kirklin facilities have been producing tracked vehicles of various makes and models over the years. The recent creation of an annex to produce the Paladin Defense System has led the planetary government to petition for Kallon to open a ‘Mech production yard on the planet as well.

BattleMechs
Vehicles
Wernke
With the loss of the Talon megacomplex during the Jihad, the leadership of Kallon Weapon Industries focused on revamping and upgrading their planetary assets on Wernke III. While the plant on the moon is still unsalvageable, mining and refining operations on Talon have resumed by the mid-3130s.
Effective technology level
Most of Kallon Weapon Industries facilities took advantage of various NAIS grants to expand their advanced manufacturing capabilities over the years. The Federated Suns crown owns a portion of the company as well, which they often use to flex on Kallon Industries during board meetings. The technology sharing between the two parts of Kallon is higher than many expects, with recent advances having found production in special edition models and advanced prototypes.
