Rain Eun-Chui

Rain Eun-Chui is the Galaxy Commander of Steel Fang Galaxy of Clan Steel Viper at the time of the start of the strikes against the Marian Hegemony. She is an unassuming officer who is not well suited for “wartime action” and would rather just serve in garrison duty. Being in charge of a front line Galaxy, she is forced outside of her comfort zone and requests assistance from saKhan Kathya Olezko.

Early Career

Rain Eun-Chui was raised in a mixed sibko of Clan Steel Viper and Clan Blood Spirit, an experiment which was initiated during the early 32^nd century. These few sibkos were not viewed positively by either Clans, but there was a desire to work more closely together which led to these accommodations. Throughout her training, Rain Eun-Chui did perform remarkably well, even though she was noted for being more careful and reacted poorly to changes. She completed her Blooding as a Star Captain, which surprised a few.

Reforming the Steel Fang

In 3128, Star Captain Rain integrated the newly reformed Steel Fang galaxy as part of the 1^st Steel Fang Striker. Equipped with some of the highest end Bioroid command machines, the Star Captain showed her skills in maintaining garrisons and doing defensive deployments. This impressed some of her superiors. By 3134, she had won her Bloodname and had settled in as the garrison commander for the Steel Fangs. She was assigned to protect an OmniMech production facility.

Her promotion to Star Colonel, commanding the 1^st Steel Fang Striker, came as a surprise as she was nominated for the Trial of Position after the previous commander, Sebastien Cochraine, moved on to command of the Fer-De-Lance Galaxy. Not wanting to die in a trial, Rain Eun-Chui fought like a demon possessed and destroyed her opponent’s Iron Cheetah. It didn’t take long afterwards for her to receive a promotion to full Galaxy Commander as her predecessor retired from service.

Strikes Against the Marian

Steel Fang Galaxy was activated after the capture of New St. Andrews and Thadora’s Land for the second wave of strikes against the Inner Sphere. The Marian controlled worlds of Blantleff, Maximillian and Valerius were given as an objective to her Steel Fangs and the Fer-De-Lance Galaxy. Even knowing this was coming, Galaxy Commander Rain Eun-Chui was not ready to mobilize her forces and get them ready for action. In a panic, she contacted saKhan Kathya Olezko to try to get her Striking Serpent Galaxy to replace her on the front. saKhan Olzeko refused as her men did require some rest, but she agreed to swap the 51^st Battle Cluster and 428^th Assault Cluster with Steel Fang’s 126^th and 195^th for the first months of the operation.

Rain Eun-Chi began operations against the I Legio on Valerius. She was more cautious than expected, which made Khan Hartford Zalman wary.
