Biccon Winters was the Oathmaster of Clan Nova Cat during the start of Operation REVIVAL. She was the first person to see Anastasius Focht as a threat to the Clans in general, but a lot of her visions were put into question as they did not fit the narrative the Nova Cats were looking for. Her position as Oathmaster was put in question after the Truce of Tukayyid but she kept it through martial excellence.

Early Life
Biccon was decanted in 2989 as part of a mixed sibko for Clan Nova Cat, meant to fill up the ranks of the warrior caste. Biccon was in the middle of the pack for most of the training, but it was thanks to some of her early visions and readings that more cadets than on average survived the second part of the training. A total of 29 cadets graduated at various levels after their Blooding, Biccon claiming the rank of Star Commander. She credits a tarot reading and crystal convergence for the result of her Trial of Position, saying it told her which configuration to use on her Stormcrow to best fight her opponents.
Military Career
Early Service
From her entry into the Nova Cat touman, Biccon Nova Cat was popular with many others due to her “non-martial skills”. She was approached by her Star Captain to figure out what the best bidding process would be in a fight against Clan Star Adder, which she recommended using a tea leaf reading. Star Commander Biccon’s own star was generally kept out of harm’s way as a means to protect their commander, which some of the higher ups began seeing as a superior asset.
By 3021, Biccon was a Star Captain and her reputation as a visionary let her challenge for the Winters bloodname. She won the challenge through careful planning and preparation once again, showing her abilities to the Clan at large. She was then promoted to Star Colonel.
Oathmaster Career
Biccon Winters was named Oathmaster of Clan Nova Cat in 3046 after the previous Oathmaster retired from service. Her nomination was supported by various Galaxy Commanders and Khan Severen Leroux, which made it easy for her. Removed from “active duty” to serve as Oathmaster, Biccon Winters was granted access to the personal Trinary of the Oathmaster, nominally a demotion from her position as Star Colonel.
Operation REVIVAL
At the start of the Outbound Light affair, Biccon Winters had a vision of the Clans flying through the Inner Sphere only to be choked by a white mist or smoke. When she relayed her vision to Severen Leroux, he choose to ignore the “choking out” part and focus instead on the “invading the Inner Sphere” part. Winters did have other warnings she passed on to
Following the Truce
Oathmaster Winters was challenged on the return trip from the Battle of Tukayyid. Many warriors considered her to be one of the reasons why the Clan failed on Luthien and Tukayyid. When she pointed out both the Khan and saKhan had not heeded her visions, she got into more problems as other were trying to play politics to get themselves into good position for the potential replacement of Severen Leroux. Biccon Winters fought multiple trials and won all of them.
During the election of the ilKhan, Biccon Winters sat on the sideline and advised her Khan. When asked about her visions at the time, she pointed out that a new leadership was needed for the Clans in general to replace the old group. When asked about the white mist choking out the Clans, she said that vision was still present but “new wind” could move it away.
With changes in the leadership of the Nova Cats after the IlKhan elections, Winters was afraid she would be removed from office by Lucian Carns, with whom she had a bad relationship. The new Khan asked her to remain however, stating that she would be the one guiding the Clan with her vision. It was under her guidance that the Nova Cats decided to establish their “Inner Sphere capital” on Irece.
Death of a Khan
Lucian Carns came directly to Biccon Winters after he had his “first vision”, which some attributed to Necrosia or other substance abuse. Winters firmly opposed those hypotheses even after Lucian committed suicide after stopping all openings towards the Draconis Combine. A few warriors intimated that Winters was responsible for the death of the Khan and she was forced to defend herself in a few Trials before the new Khan, Santin West, put an end to all discussions through an edict.
With the Truce of Tukayyid coming to an end, Biccon Winters is looking for a replacement as Oathmaster so she can retire.
Personal Life
Biccon Winters ability at understanding visions caused her to have a lot of problems throughout her life. She had issues with mistaking regular dreams for visions in her youth, which caused some friction with her sibkins. Even as she served in the touman, she was known not to perform as well as she could because of this. She spent a lot of her personal time studying and researching things like symbology, dream interpretation and mystical visions from all sorts of sources, not just Nova Cat sources. She owns a large collection of tarot decks, crystals and other esoteric tools, having discovered some during the Clan Invasion.
Biccon Winters’s BattleMech
Biccon Winters pilots a Stormcrow after she had a vision regarding a crow flying in a storm. It’s not always that complicated.
