Technicron Engineering

Technicron is a mid-size corporation from the Free Worlds League, based off Savannah. A significant portion of their profit comes from the manufacturing of Invader-class Jumpships at Tamarind, however. Keeping good relations with the various “former” Free Worlds League powers, Technicron was able to keep selling to the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey, Regulus and even portions of the territory which is under Clan rule. Through this steady income, they have developed a good understanding of more advanced material science.

Recent History

After the damage done to their facilities during the Bloody Tricentennial, Technicron concentrated on rebuilding while also making friends with everyone that they could. While the Republic of the Sphere prevented them from expanding their facilities, they were able to import large amounts of salvaged Clan technology, along with causing a “brain drain” within the Clan scientists in the Republic by offering better work environment and pay.

When Savannah rejoined the Free Worlds League, they recontacted Irian Technologies to start a technology sharing program. Both companies took advantage of this to improve their understanding of Clan technology, but also to start producing more advanced models of their flagship products. Recovering the facilities on Tongatapu has increased the fortunes of the company by a fair amount as well.

As of 3151, the Tamarind shipyards have begun producing 4 new Impavido-class warships for the Tamarind Regulars and the Marik Militias, a rare massive military investment approved by all parties in the Senate.

Effective Technology Level

Technicron has managed to replicate Clan Double Heat Sinks on their own using both live examples and simply advancing the technology they already had access to from the old Helm’s Memory Core. The advanced polymers used in the construction of those heat sinks were trademarked and encoded with Technicron’s proprietary equipment, preventing “legal reproduction” of them without their knowledge. In 3137, Technicron expanded their orbital endo-steel mills with a new wing, which was used to produce advanced endo-steel comparable to the Clan version. Again, this was done both by copying Clan technology but also by advancing their own understanding of the material, which they trademarked.
