Tamarind Regular Army Composition

Basic Rules
The Tamarind Regulars are a standing army within the Free Worlds League centered around the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey. They are well-armed and equipped and kept at peak efficiency by large investments from the Marik family in the Duchy. While there are multiple units within the Tamarind Regulars, they have access to roughly the same list of units, mainly pulled from the Free Worlds League factories and occasional salvage from the Lyran Commonwealth.
The Tamarind Regulars have 4 types of Detachments:
- Line detachments are regular combat units of the Regulars, focusing on Heavy and Medium ‘mechs as Core units, with Light and Assault ‘mechs being Special units in most cases.
- Defensive Detachments are heavier, focusing on larger Heavy ‘mechs and Assault ‘mechs, with Light and Medium units being Special units in most cases.
- Cavalry Detachments are lighter, focusing on Light and Medium ‘mechs, with Fast Heavy ‘mechs (6/9 or faster, or 5/8 and equipped with Jump Jets) also being Core. Any other Heavy ‘mech is a Special unit. Assault ‘Mechs count as Rare in a Cavalry detachment and must be equipped with Jump Jets.
- Scout Detachment are the lightest of the group, where Light ‘mechs and Fast Mediums (7/11 or faster or 5/8 or faster and equipped with Jump Jets) are considered Core units. Fast Heavy ‘Mechs equipped with Jump Jets (5/8 with Jump Jets) are considered Special units in a Scout Detachment. Assault ‘mechs should not be included.
Tamarind Regulars units have varying levels of skills and morale, look at the specific unit to know what to expect for the unit. Veteran pilots often have the Cluster Hitter, Dodge, or Sandblaster Special Pilot Ability. Elite pilots often have the Tactical Genius or Weapon Specialist Pilot Abiity.

Battle Armor
The Tamarind Regulars have always operated using Battle Armor since their formation in 3096. While conventional infantry is still plenty common, Battle Armor units are standard issue especially for any unit having Omnimechs or Omnivehicles attached. A squad of Battle Armor is considered as a Core unit for every Omnimech in a unit.
In Line and Defensive Detachment, Battle Armors are considered Core units. In Scout or Cavalry Detachment, Battle Armors are considered Special units.
Combat Vehicle
Combat vehicle support for the Tamarind Regular regiments is usually heavy, with the conventional armor units matching the detachment they are supporting. The Regulars also call upon local defense forces and military to support them in their operations on friendly worlds.
