LexaTech used to be a major military manufacturer with a single big product: the Stinger LAM, which they produced in as large an amount as they could to feed the Combine military. All other concerns were secondary to them, even though the Hun Ho factory produced the standard Stinger through most of the Succession Wars era. With the lost of Irece, LexaTech had to pivot quickly, expanding their secondary factory and reestablishing their headquarters to Hun Ho. They are currently rebounding from a rough patch, trying to introduce new products to their line-up.
Recent History
Affected by the compliance of the Dragon towards the Republic of the Sphere, LexaTech was on the verge of insolvency by the time of Gray Monday. Building only repair kits and maintenance kits for existing machines, their Hun Ho facility was working at about 25% efficiency from the end of the Jihad onwards. As the Combine went back on war footing after the Blackout, LexaTech turned around and put as many people as they could in the workforce, both to save their business and to “serve the dragon”.
LexaTech’s leadership has realized that being a “single client company” is a major problem. They looked for ways to expand their market, generally bypassing Combine regulation. While the ISF might not like such actions, in the rather difficult climate of the Combine during the Davion Reconquista and Azami secession, LexaTech has a chance to branch out.
Manufacturing
Hun Ho
The Hun Ho factory was restricted by the Combine government during the Republican military drawdowns, at the coordinator’s order. It mainly produced spare parts and repair kits from the mid 3080s to 3132, where it was ordered back into full production. Unemployment on Hun Ho having been at record level, it was easy for LexaTech Industries to get back into full production.
BattleMechs
- Stinger
- Armored Stinger
- Archer (9M)
- Grasshopper (6K)
- Cyclops, (11-B)
- Cerberus
Effective Technology Level
LexaTech used to have an almost monopoly on LAM technology, but this is all but gone now. Even with their existing blueprints and patents, they cannot get a factory up and running again for the Stinger LAM. Their facility on Hun Ho is well equipped, on the other hand, with the capacity to build a variety of engine types and armor types. They have a limited access to endo-steel, which they generally use to build their Grasshoppers.
LexaTech does not have access to any Clan-graded technology.
