Jalastar Aerospace has been a major provider of Aerospace assets for the Federated Suns and a licensor of multiple conventional aircrafts over the years. They expanded to produce BattleMechs in the wake of the First Succession War, building the incredibly popular Javelin skirmisher for the AFFS. By the start of the Clan Invasion, they had begun production of the Centurion under license from Corean Enterprises.

While they suffered some damage during the Jihad at the hands of the Taurian Concordat, they rebounded and restarted full production of new aerospace fighters and battlemechs by the end of the 31st century. Far from the Combine front line, the company has been a serious boon to the struggling AFFS.

Recent History

Jalastar has had a rather uneventful couple of decades. While many other Federated Suns companies have been fighting off the Combine or Confederation, Jalastar has enjoyed the détente between the Federated Suns and the Taurian Concordat. After the repairs to their facilities were completed, they invested in securing their own investments in the future by expanding the Jalastar Factory Defense Force, providing them with Surface to Space guns (purchased from Clan Snow Raven) and additional aerospace assets.

Panpour

The Panpour facility was heavily damaged by a suicide dropship attack by the Taurian Concordat in 3076. As a valid war target, this was not covered by the company’s insurance and the repairs had to be paid out of pocket by Jalastar. Thankfully, generous loans from the Federated Suns government covered most of this, even allowing for some minor upgrades to the facility.

Effective Technology Level

Jalastar is not the most advanced company in the Federated Suns, even though they could also take advantage of loans from the Federal government and support from NAIS. They were one of the last companies to install an endo-steel mill in orbit of their factory world but now have access to some of the better equipment and gear. Through partnerships and deals, Jalastar managed to acquire the technology to build Clan-graded SRM launchers and are expanding their repertoire with these. They have also developed a process to replicate the Clan version of the CASE II, which they intend on implementing on future Centurion and Grasshoppers.

Clan technology available to Jalastar Aerospace:

  • SRM
  • TAG
  • CASE II
