Hellespont Industrials meteoric rise after the Fourth Succession War shows the dedication of the Capellan industrial complex to the security of the Capellan state. From a single production line on Sian producing Ravens, they grew into one of the largest employer and manufacturer on Sian. Their equipment is generally viewed as a seal of quality, especially in the wake of the Jaded Mandarin affair. They also were part of the Capellan’s “Hidden Lion” initiative, allowing the CCAF to rebuild beyond what the Republic of the Sphere would let them normally.
Hellespont is on the lookout for growth opportunities, either through regular expansion or acquisition. A few different Capellan companies have steeled themselves to prevent a buyout. Hellespont leadership has been petitioning the Capellan government for more opportunities as well. Time only will tell where things will be going.
Recent History
While most other corporations were struck by various edicts to cut production or realign production after the Jihad, the leadership of Hellespont simply shut up and kept doing what they were doing. The Capellan government did not trust the Republic of the Sphere and was happy to keep paying for Hellespont to produce “low-grade” war materiel to both maintain and expand their military.
Hellespont Industrials quickly understood that they needed to be “the best” if they wanted to stay competitive in that environment. While Ceres Metal Industries began its descent into nepotism and “barely functional equipment”, the board of directors at Hellespont kept asking for the best of the best in their leadership reviews. This did lead to a number of executives and department heads to leave the company, which did slow them down and damage their corporate image.

Betelgeuse
The Betelgeuse factory was supposed to be abandoned during the Republican military drawdown. Capellan leadership paid significant amounts to keep the production of the factory hidden, with its output filling out “Hidden Lion” regiments and planetary. During the collapse of the Republic of the Sphere, Hellespont leadership no longer needed to hide anything and the factory began further expansion.
The factory passed over into the hands of the Duchy of Andurien during the trouble of the Star League-Capellan War. Duke Ari Humphreys personally signed an agreement with Hellespont Industrials to keep the factory going, with a portion of the output now earmarked for the Andurien Defense Force.

Hellespont primary facilities on Sian is massive and serves as the nerve center for the company. While some of its components are shared with Ceres Metal Industries, they are fully independent and self-sufficient. While it suffered massive losses and damage during the Jihad, it was was restored to full productivity by the start of the 32nd century,

Hellespont is at the peak of the Capellan technological curve, manufacturing a variety of advanced components at both its main facilities. They are the original designers of the Stealth Armor and are known for having refined the Triple-Strength Myomer to its current point. The Sian facility shares their orbital endo-steel mill with Ceres Metal Works, while the Betelgeuse facility does not have an endo-steel mill. Both are fully capable of building most engine types and heat sinks types, along with having the knowledge of how to build advanced gyro systems. Both facilities have advanced armor foundries, capable of making ferro-fibrous and Stealth armor in large enough amounts to export to other companies. Like most Capellan corporation, however, they have very limited access to Clan gear, and generally imported the necessary parts from Clan Sea Fox.
