Death Commandos Army Composition
Basic rules

The Death Commandos are an elite unit in the Capellan Confederation, specializing in infiltration, demolition, sabotage and assassination. They are viewed as some of the most fanatical soldiers in the Inner Sphere. Their reputation precedes them in many cases, striking fear into their opponents.
Veteran pilots in the Death Commandos, which is generally the base level of skill required to join, usually have SPAs like Demoralizer, Blood Stalker or Headhunter. Elite pilots often have SPAs like Marksman, Range Master (Long) and Sniper.
The Death Commandos have access to 3 detachment types:
Fighter detachments are the typical Death Commando combat units. They are specialized in fast and mobile combat, with Light ‘mechs and Medium ‘mechs being Core units. Fast Heavy (5/8 or faster) and Jumping Heavy ‘Mechs are considered Special units, while slower Heavy ‘Mechs and Assault ‘Mechs are Rare units.
Assassination detachments are specialized in target strikes and destruction of assets. Core units in an Assassination detachment need to have Stealth Armor, Null-Signature, Chameleon Light Polarization Shield or similar stealth equipment. Special units are units equipped with ECM equipment (Guardian or Angel) but no more specialized stealth equipment. All other units are considered Rare units. Assassination detachments can only use ASF and Battle Armor as support units.
Distraction detachments exist to allow the other units to complete their assignments by keeping the enemy busy. Core units in a Distraction detachment are Medium or Heavy ‘Mechs without Stealth systems or ECM systems. Special units are Light or Assault ‘Mechs without Stealth or ECM systems. Rare units are any other types of units available. Any ‘Mech with the Distracting Quirk is always 1 rarity more common than usual in Distraction detachments.
