Jalastar Factory Defense Force

The Jalastar Factory Defense Force (JFDF) is a Private Military Contractor serving on the planet of Panpour in a defensive fashion. Jalastar Aerospace, even though they were a smaller manufacturer, saw the advantage of having their Private Military Contractor. They had been a common target for Taurian Concordat raids for parts and equipment as the AFFS was not able to keep troops on their rimward border during the First Succession War. While they were originally composed for former AFFS officers and mercenaries, the unit grew after the Jihad to become a more standard PMC, with its own customs and internal affairs.

Recent History

The Jalastar Factory Defense Force has expanded their repertoire since the Jihad, primarily to make sure incidents like the Taurian attack in 3076 never happens again. The biggest purchase for the unit was the acquisition of a set of 4 Surface-To-Space guns from Clan Snow Ravens, massive Naval PPCs mounted on reinforced turrets. They also struck a deal with GM to acquire a number of Battle Armors to supplement their regular infantry units, modernizing the force to a more current standard.

Tactics

The JFSD is a defensive unit, specializing in combat on the world of Panpour and the general vicinity of the Jalastar facilities on the planet. Most pilots have never even participated in a full combat drop, they specialize instead in defense in depth and fortifying their own positions.
