Roscoe Steady was born the son of a miner, who was the son of a miner, who was the son of a prospector. Not content with being “yet another one of the boys”, he enrolled in the Republic of the Sphere military just to get off Capolla. He tested out of almost every program to go down to infantry, mostly because he wanted to avoid the front-lines as much as possible. His actual dream would have been to work security on a base somewhere far from any frontline. Fate would have it, however, that this would not be the case. A skilled Longinus battle armor operator, he was assigned to the First Army Group, where he met with a man who would become his best friend, Bartric Bebop.

Operation ERUPTIO

During Operation ERUPTIO, Roscoe led a battle armor platoon into combat. He was assigned as a support unit to his friend Bartric’s unit, where the mechwarrior drew the attention of the enemy while Roscoe ran in and captured objectives, sniped key personel or caused a general ruckus. This arrangement was great for everyone involved, and even whent he First Army Group was disbanded, Roscoe Steady and his crew stuck with Bartric’s new unit.

Reforming the Group

Piracy and terrorism wasn’t at the top of Roscoe’s favorite thing to do, but it kept him busy and well-fed. Striking Draconis Combine targets, Roscoe Steady led his battle armor and regular foot infantry to take more than they could carry if possible. While the wild life was good for them, the ISF started to get close to the “core pirates”. The moment Roscoe heard of the reforming of the First Army Group, he convinced his men, even those who never served the Republic, to follow him towards a new life.

Battle of Yorii

Along with Bartric’s company of ne’er-do-well, Roscoe Steady performed admirably during the Battle of Yorii. This was mostly due to the fact they were tasked with doing pretty much what they had been doing for the past few years as pirates and raiders, causing as much trouble as possible for Clan Hell’s Horses troops. Even with a great number of his subordinate dying in combat, Roscoe remained steadfast in the face of adversity.

Blooname granted

Granting Bloodnames to the members of the new Clan was a bit of an odd task, with most soldiers voting for who they believed represented the First Army Group the best and such. Everyone expected mostly MechWarriors and ASF pilots to get the nomination, but Roscoe’s name came up in the general discussion. After a quick debate, it was agreed that he was probably one of the most competent infantry commander in the new Clan, and fully deserved the recognition of having his name enshrined in the Clan’s blood legacy.

Battle Armor

Roscoe Steady primarily used a Longinus battle armor, with his unit receiving a shipment of Longinus C during the Battle of Yorii.
