Generally defined as “a fine young thing”, Yumiko Hojo is a brilliant young woman for all the wrong reasons. She has been groomed and trained as part of the Amaris Imperial family to fill in a position as future private secretary. Her sharp mind is generally focused on plots, lies and other machinations. The fact most of them are rather pointless in the grand scheme of things matter little to her.

Brilliant and deadly

Yumiko Hojo comes from a noble family in good standings with the Imperial family, wealthy landowners on Promise. Without really any goal in life, she went to university for a degree in psychology and sociology. There she was discovered by Valerian Kazumiya, who figured her sharp mind would make for a good personal assistant. Completing her bachelor’s degree, she worked as personal assistant while completing her MBA. During that time, she also received guidance from the Greenhaven Gestapo in intelligence work.

Secretary to the Secretary

Having completed both a civilian and now a para-legal training, Yumiko was raised to the exalted position of secretary to the secretary, where she takes appointments for the man who takes appointments for the Imperial family. Her managerial skills are well recognized, as his her “discretions” in various matters. Valerian Kazumiya has already made arrangements for the woman to replace him in his position should he pass, or should the Imperial family move on to a new leader.
