Wilhelmina Groell, an extant relative of Prince’s Champion Erik Sandoval-Groell (Internal), is the commanding office of the First Robinson Strikers LCT. Her flexible mentality regarding the command structure led her to have the nickname “Bamboo Mina”. Her restructuring of her unit into a more heavily equipped force than a standard “Light Combat Team” was met with disapproval at first. However, her success in the Reconquista increased her status. In her personal life, Wilhelmina Groell is a jovial older woman who is happy neither of her children joined the AFFS. Her eldest became a musician, while her youngest is a pastry chef.
Early career
Wilhelmina Groell wanted to serve as part of the Robinson March Brigade from a young age. She won a scholarship to the NAIS College of Military Science. Graduating in the middle of the pack, she still requested a position in each of the Brigade’s force. Luckily for her, she was given a Leftenant commission with the First Robinson Strikers. While not the most prestigious of unit, Wilhelmina quickly rose in the ranks through a mix of good work ethics, luck and her family’s reputation.
Most of her early career was spent drilling regular troops and maintaining equipment to serviceable level. They only rarely had to fight against pirates and DCMS raiders. Her combat record was exemplary at the time.
Fall of Robinson
Wilhelmina Groell faced with massive Kuritan force in August 3144, during the Battle of Robinson. She had reached the position of Leftenant-General at that point. Though undermanned and underequipped, her First Robinson Strikers forced the Seventh Sword of Light and Ryuken-Nana to fight for every city block. In the end, Leftenant-General Groell orchestrated a perfect retreating defense and managed to evacuate her forces with “a sustainable number of losses”.
Having pulled back, her forces settled on Saulk City. There, the older woman quickly established a resupply chain. She contacted multiple corporate partners outside of the direct AFFS supply line to accelerate the reconstruction of her forces. By 3149, Wilhelmina had a large enough force to participate in the recapture of Robinson by the Prince’s Champion.
Davion Reconquista
During the Reconquista, Wilhelmina directed the First Robinson Strikers in multiple raids against Kuritan occupying forces. This set the groundwork for the liberation by larger combat forces. The Leftenant-General coordinated with the other Robinson LCT’s in those attacks. She also gave contacts to the other commanding officers to reinforce their units with corporate assets. Even suffering losses during the operation, the overall forces of the Robinson Striker LCT increased at that time, with many of them jumping on salvage of light and medium ‘mechs from the DCMS.
As the operations in the Dragon’s Tongue came to an end, the Robinson March Brigade returned to their old hunting grounds. Wilhelmina Groell used new war materiel produced on Robinson to reinforce her unit before making more probing strikes against DCMS forces. She captured numerous assets and left the door open for the liberation or conquest of multiple worlds.
Avalon Grand Crusade
Wilhelmina Groell met with her second cousing Erik on Robinson. He was trying to get a force together to retaliate against the rogue Sheep of Kentares elements. Not a particularly religious person, Wilhelmina accepted the role and had her men mobilize for this new mission. Many had some qualm about “rescuing the Dracs”, but they trusted their commander implicitly. During the hunt for the Sheep on Proserpina, Groell focused on arresting criminals rather than destroying her opponents.
