Travis Rhyde

Travis Rhyde was commander of the 3^rd Wolf Guard Battle in the build up to the Battle of Terra and the fight on the planet itself. Better know for his slow and ponderous advances, Rhyde was considered junior to Emmet Fetladral when Alpha Galaxy needed a provisional Galaxy Commander due to the time both men were in command of their clusters. This fit the man just fine, preferring not to get blamed for potential failures.

Battle of Terra

The 3^rd Wolf Guard Battle fought side by side with Golden Keshik for most of the Battle of Terra, with Travis Rhyde witnessing the death of Garner Kerensky. Star Colonel Rhyde was heavily injured in this fight, leaving him mostly out of service for the rest of the fight, only climbing in his Gargoyle for the final day of the ilClan Trial.

Battle of Yorii

Rebuilding the 3^rd Wolf Guard took longer than expected, and they were barely ready for the Trial of Position on Yorii. Anchoring themselves with a battalion of First Army Group units, Travis Rhyde and his unit served as a line unit for most of the fight, pushing and pulling in a 500 km deadland between two small towns.

As the Trial was progressing poorly for the Hell’s Horses, the 97^th Mechanized and 3^rd Horde attempted to break through the line held by the 3^rd Guard and their First Army Group allies. With neither side having ASF support or artillery support, they met in the middle of the no-man’s land for a good old slobberknocking, rip-roaring fight. The fight was going well for the Wolves the combined unit was in better fighting condition, but at some point, a 3^rd Horde raiding group pierced through the line and was aiming for a military hospital. Travis Rhyde took his command star directly to face a combined arms binary of the 3^rd Horde, destroying it completely before Rhyde died of bloodloss in his cockpit after being injured by shrapnel.
