Sang-Shao (Colonel) Suo Yang was the head of the 11th Sian Dragoons, generally known for their special forces skills. Trained by the Maskirovka from a young age, a twenty-five years old was given a command position in a unit to confuse the Republic Armed Forces. Fiercely loyal to the Capellan state, Suo Yang led her “regiment” through thick and thin.
Operation GREAT FLOOD
During Operation GREAT FLOOD, the 11th Sian and Sarah Yang mainly served as reinforcement and distractions, with units as small as lances being dispatched to patch holes in other formations or to perform special duties. Along with many of the “Hidden Lion” units, the 11th managed to disrupt Republican and Federated Suns forces long enough for the main CCAF forces to secure victory. Claiming little honor and titles from her victory, Sarah Yang was still recognized for her decisiveness.
Andurien Front
Having been mostly successful at that time, the Sang-Shao was then dispatched to the Andurien front. There, Suo Yang fought in the shadow war between the Capellan powers and the Duchy of Andurien over the control of a small number of worlds. While the actual fighting was low-intensity, constant troop movements and clever logistics allowed the 11th Sian Dragoons to appear much larger than they were to Andurien intelligence. This push and pull on the Andurien front lasted until the fall of the Wall.
Capellan- Star League War
At the beginning of the Capellan – Star League War, Olive Yang was assigned to support McCarron Armored Cavalry and their commander, Danai Liao (internal). Already skilled in rapid relocation and strikes, the 11th Sian Dragoon operated coordinated strikes with the Big Mac. This caused severe headaches to the coalition of forces under Clan Wolf. This would have kept going if Olive Yang and her command staff were not caught unaware by the Rasalhague Dominion’s Phi Galaxy on Pollux.
Even with a battalion of hardened troops and reinforcements from Death Commandos, Phi Galaxy’s Esbern Rand pushed Shang-Shao Yang into a fighting retreat, with her dropships being destroyed in orbit by the new Ra Cailum-class dropships provided to Phi Galaxy by Clan Sea Fox. With no chance to escape, Shang-Shao Suo Yang fought until she was captured by Phi Galaxy.
