Star Commander Rex is the result of the integration of various Smoke Jaguar elements in Flanagan’s organization in the past and trying to keep their culture alive. A trueborn from the Aurigan Preservation Project, Rex is made of Smoke Jaguar stock combined with the genes of the Flanagan family. This makes him an odd mix of dark skin but bright red hairs. Rex is quite happy to serve in the Home Guard. It was his first pick for deployment after completing his MechWarrior training.
Current Situation
Rex was decanted and given to a family of Smoke Jaguar warriors. While they did not use sibko, the Jaguars working for the Flanagans used homeschooling rather than using the more nationalized systems within the Aurigan Trade Alliance. Over the years, he visited most of the important planets of the Alliance, learning a lot about the people living there. His dream was to protect the people he met and put down service in the Home Guard as his first pick after graduation.
While he did not expect it, a position had opened in the Home Guard and he was given the role of Star Commander after a successful Blooding. Since then, he has been commanding a fire support and anti-air unit in the Home Guard, under Etienne Siroix.
Star Commander Rex’s Battlemech
Rex pilots a customized Bane Mark 3. Like Etienne Siroix, he dislikes “naming BattleMechs”, a trait which has been growing amongst the Flanagan’s.
