Warren Stims is commander of the 40th Wolf Garrison Cluster, along with the remnants of the 18th Wolf Garrison. A dezgra trueborn warrior from Bloodhouse Stims, Warren won command of the Mu Galaxy cluster by playing on his trueborn status and thanks to the fact he actually understood Clan military culture. His cluster had the lowest rate of “accidents” in Mu Galaxy, with discipline being maintained in “proper Clan manner”.
Defense of Niihau
The 40th was already poorly equipped and undermanned before the Battle of Terra. Almost none of the 40th troops were mobilized as part of the strike against the Republic, guaranteeing Star Colonel Warren actually could organize his men as the 1st Tamarind Regulars moved in against their garrison on Niihau. Having absorbed the remnants of the defeated 14th Wolf Garrison, Star Colonel Warren also had received a shipment of new equipment from Clan Sea Fox as the FWLM unit came into the system. While they were not able to keep the planet in the name of Clan Wolf, Warren organized an orderly retreat to Preston, where he met with Star Colonel Ramiro. There, the two Mu Galaxy officers prepared a defense in depth against the upcoming Leaguer attack which never came.
Gathering on Gienah
At the gathering on Gienah, Warren was allowed to challenge for a Trial of Bloodright for one of the vacated Stimms bloodname. As the trials were meant to not be bloody at the ilKhan request, Warren and the other participants had to “fight” in a series of physical challenges. Warren Stims next action was not unexpected, challenging Bradford Vickers (internal) for command of Mu Galaxy. He stated that his commander lack of leadership had been the cause of the loss of multiple worlds of the Wolf Empire. Witnessed by Aberdeen Mehta (internal), the new Stewart of the Empire and Miriam Shaw (internal), this particular challenge did go up to an actual fight in BattleMechs. Before the fight, Warren Stims being gifted a new Blood Reaper, which he used to defeat Bradford Vickers antiquated Hellbringer.
From his new position, Warren Stims started drilling Mu Galaxy harder than ever before, emulating actions of Othar Shaw and Jacinda DeVega. His mainly freeborn soldiers were given very little rope and the “accidental” deaths which used to be so prevalent in Mu Galaxy were cracked down seriously. Spending 6 months on Preston drilling the remainder of the Galaxy, Mu might not have been the best equipped or behaved Galaxy in Clan Wolf, but they were now operational, unlike what they were before.
Capellan – Star League War
Mu Galaxy was kept on defensive duty on the Free Worlds League border during the Capellan – Star League War, serving mainly as police and anti-raid forces. Galaxy Commander Warren Stims biggest problem in that period was still disorderly conduct amongst his men, which was cracked down upon. Rather than using physical punishment, Stims began using these situations as “bonding” work between members of his unit, like how a drill sergeant would discipline his troops. Entire binaries and trinaries sometimes had to perform cross-country races, plank for hours on end or be forced to assist techs with maintenance of their equipment. By the end of the Capellan – Star League War, even with limited action done by Mu Galaxy, the unit had reached operational status comparable to that of front line Galaxies.
Warren Stim’s Battlemech
Warren Wolf originally piloted a Royal Warhammer armed with Clan weapons and extra armor. At the Gathering in Gienah, after his Trial of Bloodright, Warren Stims was gifted a Blood Reaper.
