Star Colonel Hugh was commanding officer of the 26th Wolf Garrison Cluster on Clinton, as part of Lambda Galaxy of Clan Wolf. Originally of Lyran origin, Hugh Paquette tested to join Clan Wolf in a bid to actually pilot a BattleMech again, having been dispossessed. Competent enough, his original test put him as Star Captain, a position he held until his previous commanding officer transferred to a “better” unit. As an officer, Hugh was harsh but fair, and required his troops to pledge allegiance to the flag of Clan Wolf daily.
Fighting the Irregulars
Right before the Battle of Terra, the “most promising” elements of Lambda Galaxy were taken to fill out other formations for the fight to come, leaving the 26th Wolf Garrison extremely undermanned, as Star Colonel Hugh’s men were some of the better drilled and motivated ones. Not sure as to what to do, Hugh awaited orders from Galaxy Commander Pamela Tutola (internal), which had gone to Terra.
The orders never came as Snord’s Irregular landed on Clinton, meaning to reclaim their landhold. Quickly deputizing paramilitary police, Hugh mounted a token defense, before he was killed by Joshua Snord (internal)’s Archer.
