Originally from a wealthy Marian Hegemony family, Miranda Sticks joined the Blessed Order from her early education. While not excelling in her duties, her strict adherence to the creed was viewed as a boon by The Master. As the Jihad was underway, Miranda Sticks became Precentor Alphard and made sure the Marian would support the Jihadi in their actions. Her support of the Sixth of June sect was well noted, and when the Jihad was winding down, she feld Alphard for the deeper periphery.
In touch with the Wolverines
With 3 JumpShips and 7 DropShips filled with her followers, Miranda Sticks searched for an habitable world to at least put their feet up. Along the way, they met with a Wolverine Union ship, the RWS Nagarajah. Providing the fleet with coordinates for the Union homeworld, Sticks followed the breadcrumbs slowly until they landed on Forward in 3082.
While not trusting the Amaris family or the Wolverines, Miranda Sticks knew she could build something off these new worlds which had been given to the Word of Blake, especially with the massive potential manpower provided by a vatgrown population. Her position as an “official Precentor” also gave Miranda an air of authority amongst the disorganized Blakist leadership. By 3084, Miranda Sticks was named Primus of the Order.
Time as Primus
Untrusting of the other members of the Union, Primus Miranda Sticks did allow for technological exchange with the Rim Worlds Republic and The Society. Promises and guarantees from the other two parties put the Primus more at ease, but she still sponsored a few “shadow strikes” against other Union members. This was both to test her own forces and to gauge just how far the Blessed Order could go. After an especially grueling meeting at the Republican Capital, she would never send her forces against the Republic ever again.
In 3100, Miranda Sticks took Muthal Ali under her wing, grooming him to become another leader within the Order. She saw much potential in the young man, especially in how hard his faith in the Word of Blake was. She took a bit of time to write a treatise on her vision for the Word of Blake, along with an annotated journal from Conrad Toyama.
Collapse and death
To keep her alive and well in her older age, the Word of Blake’s medical team setup implants for Miranda Sticks in 3127. Unfortunately, her body rapidly rejected the implants in a most unusual manner. While some suspected Muthal Ali of foul play, it was found that Miranda had a genetic anomaly which made most implants incompatible with her. While using vatgrown organs to keep her alive, Miranda Sticks had to retire in 3128. She suffered until she requested be left to die in 3131.
