Lucas and his brother Ian worked overtime to reform the former Silver Hawk Irregulars into an effective fighting force in the middle of the 32nd century. The two of them regarded each other as modern day Morgan and Patrick Kell. Ian’s death in Anson Marik’s failed defense of the realm only emphasized the comparison by Lucas’s soldiers. More dedicated to the fight against Clan Wolf at first, Clan Nova Cat and the Clan Protectorate later, Lucas Cameron-Witherspoon’s let his personal vendettas shape him.
Fighting on Stewart
When he was approached by Gavin Stewart (internal) to retake Stewart, where his brother had died, Colonel Witherspoon jumped on the occasion. His troops acquitted themselves of the task of fighting the weakened 11th Wolf Garrison very well. The problems started once the Nova Cats landed their Alpha Galaxy on the planet. Claiming that their attack against the Wolf Empire was illegal, Khan Rwabdogo pushed against the Coalition and forced them offworld.
Vendetta against the Protectorate
While Gavin Stewart would later reclaim Stewart anyways, it was not thanks to Lucas Cameron-Witherspoon, but thanks to Trenton Marik (internal). On his side, the now General, in charge of 3 regiments of Irregulars, was probing and striking at the Clan Protectorate in “somewhat legal and sanctioned actions”.
The Free Worlds League parliament restored most of the Silver Hawk Coalition worlds after their fight with the Wolf Empire. Gavin Stewart named General Witherspoon leader of the Coalition military, with no opposition. With new resources being gifted by The Society (in secret), Witherspoon’s still focused much of his attention towards the Protectorate. Some, however, want him to challenge and remove the ineffective Gavin Stewart from his position as well.
