Kym Hasek became Julian Davion (internal) head diplomat after the Battle of Terra. With the collapse of the Republic of the Sphere, Kym Hasek’s primary role was to make sure the internal regions of the Federated Suns would not revolt. Kym’s position as a “non-military noble” did endear her to the general population. While waiting for the strike on the Dragon’s Tongue, Kym Hasek also stayed in close contact with the AFFS high command, especially Erik Sandoval (internal) and Julian Davion.
New Star League Peace Talk
Kym Hasek also frequently met with diplomats from Clan Wolf (generally Watch members under Aberdeen Mehta (internal) ) and Clan Sea Fox. House Davion had kept good relations with the Republic of the Sphere which originally scared Kym Hasek, but the New Star League diplomats also seemed to want to keep the peace with the Federated Suns. Trade concessions from the Sea Fox to the AFFS increased during Kym’s tenure, leading to a marginal technological advantage for the AFFS in their coming fight against the DCMS.
Davion Reconquista
As Julian Davion struck out against the Combine in the Dragon’s Tongue, Kym Hasek remained close by to bring the local populations “back into the fold”. Riots on New Avalon were quelled quickly after Matsuhari Toranaga (internal) was kicked off world thanks to her direct actions. Diplomatic actions and contacts with the Raven Alliance gave Kym Hasek a bit more understanding of the overall situation with the Clans now that an “ilClan” had been decided.
A Scheming Little Brother
The one torn in Kym Hasek’s side was her younger brother, Alexander Hasek (internal). Having reappeared on New Syrtis in late 3151, he took back military control of the Capellan March. While he did not seem to oppose Julian Davion directly, his actions were erratic and seemed to denote some form of underlying motivation Kym Hasek could not assess. His insistence on reforming the St. Ives Compact was a positive for the Federated Suns, but Kym worried that something else was the source of this “altruism”. To slow down whatever scheme Alexander had going, Julian Davion asked Kym to marry him. The wedding is planned for Kym and Julian’s return from Arc-Royal, after signing the peace treaty with the Combine.
