Kathya Olezko

Kathya Olezko took the position of saKhan in Clan Steel Viper by rallying the traditionalists behind her. While not “as based” (on the Rede of Kerensky) as some of the Clan warriors would like, she is as close as she can in a modern Wolverine Union based nation. She agreed to take over the majority of the other more traditional warriors into her Gamma Galaxy. In her personal life, Kathya Olezko is a personal fitness and workout fanatic. This combines well with her love with hardcore outdoor survival. With the White Light Event ongoing, her specialty is extreme survival.

Early Career

Kathya Steel Viper came out on top of her promotion in her sibko. She challenged her Handler during her Blooding after she had bested 4 opponents, killing her fellow cadet. Handler Romani Olezko took the challenge, and was bested by Kathya. She killed him by crushing his cockpit with her ‘Mech’s foot. Nobody knew how to handle that situation, before Khan Zalman request to meet with the woman personally.

Kathya was given command over the 57^th Striker Cluster provisionally. Quickly, she was given permission to participate in a Trial of Bloodright for the Olezko name. Under the auspices of Clan Blood Spirit, she won the trial handily even when faced with more experienced warriors. The Khan had a good idea as to what to do with the Star Colonel from that point on. He forced her to do two tours of duty with The Burrocks to build her actual command experience. On her return in 3139, Hartford Zalman promoted Kathya Olezko to Galaxy Commander of Gamma Galaxy, where the more “radically Clan” warriors would be stationed going forward.

In Command of Gamma

Galaxy Commander Olezko wanted more experience for her troops and personnel. She petitioned both Khan Zalman and the Rim Worlds Republic to allow her troops to perform exercises against unaffiliated worlds in the deep periphery. This was approved by a vote in congress and the Steel Viper council. The only condition was for her to deploy a Ghost Shark platform on every world she would pacify. While these deep periphery worlds showed little threat, the actual military experience of fighting on the move taught Gamma Galaxy more than expected.

When the first strikes against the Inner Sphere were commanded, Kathya Olezko wanted to bid for the chance for her galaxy to participate. Incidentally, Hartford Zalman let her perform the full ritual to appease the traditionalists while making sure it remained in line with his objective of “complete victory”. Gamma Galaxy was aimed against Thadora’s Land at the start of the operation.

Kathya Olezko’s BattleMech

Galaxy Commander has been piloting a Black Python 4. By the start of the strikes against Thadora’s Land, she was provided the new Black Python-O to test out, even though she is not a bioroid commander.
