Julietta Marik

Julietta Marik is the political leader of the Clan Protectorate. While Khan Rikkard Rwabdogo is the official leader of the Free Worlds League province, Julietta serves as the intermediary between the Clan culture and Inner Sphere population. From the same house as the current ruling Marik, Julietta has a good relationship with her sister Nikol Marik (internal). Exuberant, outgoing and flashy, Julietta does not rely on her title to establish her dominance. Her actions generally speak louder than her ancestry.

Youth

Julietta Marik was almost assassinated in her bed in 3137. Her brother Janos was killed the same night. Julietta never agreed with the official story about the murder and investigated it on her own. This led her to finding out about “mystery men” and secretive infiltrators throughout the Inner Sphere. She never could, however, find out the truth about the entire affair.

Politician in the Protectorate

Julietta Marik was on Marik when the province was gifted to Clan Spirit Cat and other Clan exiles. She quickly approached the Clan leadership as a representative of the civilian population of the various worlds. Her goal was to make sure that their rights would be protected and that they would not be forced into a system that might not be good for them. Corporate entities Imstar Aerospace and Trellshire Heavy Industries lobbied heavily with her to secure their own enclaves against the Clan’s centralized economic system.

Having friends on both sides of the aisle, Julietta served as an intermediary after she was accepted by the Spirit Cats. While she had very little military acumen, her understanding of Inner Sphere politics and business made her a valuable asset to the Protectorate.

Divided loyalties

Julietta Marik was present when Clan Sea Fox began their campaign to rearm the Spirit Cats. Unsure as to what to do, she did support Star Colonel Rikkard’s move to reform Clan Nova Cat. The non-Clan population of the Protectorate voted in support of joining the New Star League thanks to her. She, however, made sure that the Clan warriors would still support the Free Worlds League which had harbored them.

In the political conflict between the various heads of the Marik house, Julietta is closer to her sister Nikol . She does not trust Fontaine Marik, believing him to be an opportunist.

Current affairs

Julietta Marik continued investigation in the “mystery men” led her to hire Joshua Snord (internal) to go on a mission on Gibson. She believes that the “dead world” still holds secrets as to who is pulling the strings on many conspiracies across the Inner Sphere.
