Giorgio Constandinopoulos is about as useless as one can be in terms of politics, and that is precisely why he is so well liked by Carolyne Amaris. A career politician, Giorgio started his career as junior congressman before getting elected to the Senate. There he constantly remained pointless outside of his ability to vote in favor of whatever the Amaris family wanted to happen. His “folksy attitude” and “gentlemanly looks” put people at ease.
Political Career
Giorgio Constandinopoulos always wanted to be a politician. His education was in political science and law, securing a master’s in law before trying his luck at a congressman position. Elected by small margin, he did not rock the boat at all but was supportive of his constituents along with the ruling Amaris family. This endeared him with the Imperialist Alliance Party, which saw him as a useful pawn in their bid to control both the Senate and Congress.
After his two terms in Congress, Giorgio was given the opportunity to run for a seat in the Senate for the Imperialist Alliance. Taking the chance, he was again elected with a small margin after securing the nomination in a (potentially) rigged primary. There, Senator Constandinopoulos did not rock the boat but made sure the will of House Amaris was well reflected in legislation and was member of a few different sub-committees where he enriched himself and a few close friends through governmental contracts.
First Minister
Over the years, the Imperialist Alliance has grown as one of the most powerful parties in the Republic. A decision was made to run Giorgio for the position of First Minister by the party, who arranged the primary for him to be nominated. The election itself was marred with controversy as well. His two closest rivals were embroiled in scandals, which some pointed out were brought out by the Greenhaven Gestapo. Securing the presidential seat in the 2nd round, Giorgio was given the keys to the First Minister house where he simply recited whatever Caroline Amaris wanted him to say. His party, the Imperialist Alliance, is quite happy with his position and the contracts he brings to their own organizations. The military is also quite happy with the massive investments given to them compared to some of the previous administration.
