Michel Duschatel comes from a lower middle-class family from Terra and started his life as an engineer working for the Republic of the Sphere aerospace fighter division, getting up to the rank of Captain before he “transferred to civilian life” in his mid-thirties to become a medical doctor instead. Settling down in Calgary, on the North American continent of Terra, he worked in a private practice as well as a local emergency hospital.

A Chance Meeting

Docteur Michel Duschatel met with Chance Vickers (internal) in June 3153, where he told the saKhan of the Wolves she was pregnant. While keeping his position as a private practitioner, he became the official “family doctor” to Chance Vickers and Alaric Ward. Docteur Duschatel became suspicious of Alaric Ward’s genetic legacy as he began examining their upcoming twins, which he was sworn to secrecy by Alaric. Doctor Duschatel was given significant freedoms by Clan Wolf, leading him to treat multiple high ranking officers, including Anastasia Kerensky after the injuries she suffered on Sirius.

Failed assassination

After Chance Vicker gave birth to her children, they were kept at a Terra sibko as their parents were embroiled in the Capellan – Star League War, which Doctor Duschatel was monitoring. A Wolverine Union infiltrator attempted to kill all the children in the sibko using a gene-edited pathogen, but Doctor Duschatel was able to isolate the disease and synthesise a cure quickly using advanced Clan technology. The infiltrator’s next act was to try to take out the elderly doctor, which was saved by an Elemental with which he had grown a fast friendship over the last few months. This was one of the first indication in the New Star League of the existence of the Wolverine Union and their infiltrators.
