The Second St.Ives is a second-line regiment in the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces. Specialized in medium and heavy combat units, they are better known for their hatred of the Federated Suns than their prowess on the battlefield.
Recent History
Like many CCAF units, the Second St.Ives were on a roll of victories after facing weak opponents or panicked Federated Suns opponents. Their latest major victory was against the Seventeenth Avalon Hussars in Operation CELESTIAL REWARD. Unfortunately for the 2nd Sentinel, however, a lot of their new equipment was provided by Ceres and their distributors and were not evaluated thoroughly. Most equipment, in that case, was affected by defects seen in the Jaded Mandarin scandal.
During the Capellan – Star League War, the Second St.Ives was mobilized near the front to defend against raids from the Clan forces. Unfortunately for them, their under-par equipment and overconfidence led them to not be very efficient at this task. Retreating to Highspire where they were stationed before, they met with Bannson’s Raiders, who were busy “liberating” the planet from the Thuggee Cults. The remnants of the Sentinels were routed off world, retreating to New Macao. The end of combat operations against the New Star League and the damage done to the Capellan Confederation made the commanders of the Second St.Ives Sentinels scared for their future.
Tactics
The Second St.Ives Sentinels are known for their skill in mountainous terrain, as well as their usage of “hammer and anvil” tactics with their armor and infantry regiments supporting a faster force of medium and heavy BattleMechs.
The most popular ‘Mech in the Second Sentinels remain the Vindicator and Ostsol, with higher ranking commanders piloting Victors or their derivatives.

Second St.Ives Sentinels military colors
The unit regular colors are a gray-tinted green and a gray-tinted red (or orange). The trim is made with a brighter green in recent years.
