Detroit Consolidated Mechworks is a major weapons manufacturer and parts producer in the rim ward region of space. Created under the auspices of the Trinity Alliance, its ownership and production was always a point of contention. The Fronc Reach, Magistracy of Canopus and Capellan Confederation controlled the planet of Detroit over the years. Each of these had their own “scheme” on how the financial boon of the factories along with its production should be shared.

In more recent history, Detroit was captured by the Aurigan Trade Alliance during the War of the Reaches. The Capellan Confederation had moved to capture ATA trading posts and shipping yard, which led to a retaliatory strike from the 2^nd Sword of the Cormorant. After the War of the Reaches was over, the Fronc Reaches and Aurigan Trade Alliance shared the planet and its production. DCM’s advanced production equipment was used to start building more Flying Badger OmniMechs.

Production plants

The main plant for Detroit Consolidated MechWorks is located on Detroit III. With massive mineral wealth on site, the factory is always churning out equipment. The facilities include an endo-steel mill in orbit, along with a specialized foundry to build stealth armor. This supplement the ferro-fibrous production of Flanagan Repair and Refits and Aspero-Dinton Mining, meaning vehicle and battlemech armor is the largest export of this region of space.

DCM has a secondary facility on Krimari, in the Magistracy of Canopus. While only producing the Anubis, the loss of the primary facility has led the MAF to invest towards improving the location.
