Alpha Galaxy (Clan Steel Viper)

Alpha Galaxy (Clan Steel Viper) was reformed in 3080 after the exile of Clan Steel Viper from the Clan Homeworlds. Getting priority on all new ‘Mechs and equipment, Alpha Galaxy was the first formation to adopt bioroid units, guided by their current commander, Hartford Zalman. Better drilled and trained than other units, Alpha Galaxy’s applicants had to originally spend at least 1 tour of duty with the Burrocks to learn about raiding tactics and gain actual combat experience.

Alpha Galaxy was part of the first strikes against the Inner Sphere by the Steel Vipers. They were tasked with attacking the planet of New St. Andrews. Wanting to leave nothing to chance, Hartford Zalman deployed his entire Galaxy against the 2 Battalions of mercenaries and planetary militias. While this could have been viewed as “dishonorable” by other Clans, Alpha Galaxy’s main goal is to redeem the Steel Vipers as a functional military organization.

Tactics

Various per unit. Warriors in Alpha Galaxy are trained in raiding and smash and grabs by The Burrock’s. They also have their own military training in keeping strong unit cohesion with slow and steady advances.

Alpha Galaxy (Clan Steel Viper) Attribution Tables

Alpha Galaxy is equipped with top of the line BattleMechs and OmniMechs from the Wolverine Union. While Clan machines are usually preferred, they will use “rebranded” Inner Sphere machines for their bioroid support units or to replace machines quickly.

Alpha Galaxy also has a larger proportion of Novas (combined Elementals and OmniMech) units compared to other organizations. They, however, eschews standard armor.
