77th Marik Regulars

The 77th Marik Regular was formed by Julietta Marik (internal) by reforming various local militias within the Clan Protectorate. The Nova Cats regard the 77th Regular as a solahma unit. However, in terms of equipment, they are far better equipped than most Inner Sphere regular regiments. Procurement was done mostly through internal means, Clan Sea Fox and the Wolf Empire. This led them to be equipped with Clan grade equipment in larger amounts than most FWLM regiments.

Defense of the Wolf Empire

During the Nova Cat’s (and by extension, Clan Protectorate) defense of the Wolf Empire, Julietta Marik rushed to raise several regiments to defense the Clan Protectorate as their primary force was away. The 77^th was already “mostly” formed, under the guise of provisional planetary garrisons generally armed and equipped by Inner Sphere warriors.

The 77^th was quickly needed, as remnants of the Silver Hawk Irregulars defeated by the Nova Cats wanted revenge. Using defensive positions and battlefield fortifications, the 77^th Marik Regulars pushed back the raiders and established a series of outposts on the Protectorate worlds.

Capellan – Star League War

While they were not mobilized during the Capellan – Star League war, the 77^th continued building outposts, supply depots and fortification on the various worlds of the Protectorate. Those became more and more useful, as Liao-sponsored pirates and other terrorists (namely, the Silver Hawk Irregulars), frequently tried to steal resources from what they thought would be poorly defended worlds.
