Shipwreck’s Background

Blue Sea Navies are pretty much a thing of the past. Everyone nowadays works on dropships and jumpships, and the very concept of “sailing the seas” only really exists if you’re a fisherman. This is why Hector Delgado’s life is so unusual: he is a shipman in an era where starships are universal. He is perfectly at ease on whatever body of water, methane sea or whatever you put him down on, he will teach you how to fight, how to keep the boat steady and how to pilot it down the rivers, deltas or ocean. Of course, someone will not make a career out of this, so Delgado joined the Marik Militia in hope that one day he would be given a patrol boat or something of the likes. Sadly, he then realized he was a good mechwarrior, and a wonderful “black sea navy” marine as well.

His skills and talents drove him into the hands of the GI Joes as they ACTUALLY required a blue water navy officer to guide them on a mission. It took him a while to warm up to the others, mostly because he didn’t know how to handle the other Joes. Shipwreck’s cooking is terrible and nobody outside of himself and his pet Jade Falcon, Polly, which he won in a trial of possession against a Falcon warrior who was mistreating her.

Equipment

• Shipwrecks pilots a highly customized RIFLEMAN, called San Diego, after the WW2 ship with the most AA kills.
• San Diego would also be his ideal girlfriend.
• Mech skills: Gunnery 3, Piloting 3. Any ‘mech he pilots has the AA Targeting Quirk. If the ‘mech already has this Quirk, it improves the chances to hit by another -1.
