Doctor Venom’s Background

Doctor Menov was a rising star in the Capellan Confederation, his work with the Maskirovka was praised beyond all belief by the likes of Tsen Shang and Chancellor Romano Liao, but when it became evident that some of his… experiments might have gone a little bit too far even for the Duchess of Liao, he was cut loose. The plan was originally for his lab to be destroyed in an “accidental explosion”, but the Maskirovka agents assigned to the task were all disabled by some of “Doctor Venom”‘s toxins, leaving them to suffocate as the explosive they carried were returned to the sender, destroying a Maskirovka hideout on Liao.

The next step in Doctor Venom’s masterplan was to find another benefactor, and he originally bet on House Kurita and the ISF, but when Gunji-No-Kanrei Kurita realized what Menov was working on, all ties were cut and a DEST strike team were sent to “terminate his contract”. Again, Doctor Venom’s toxins and mind-controlled soldiers saved his life, before releasing a deadly toxin on the general population for which he received a hefty payment to provide the treatment.

A wanted bio-terrorist now, Archibald had few places he could go, but Cobra Commander saw the talent of the scientist and hired him to work for him into producing new combat drugs for Cobra soldiers, along with letting Doctor Venom perfect his mind-control and “mind-reading” technology on rather unwilling subjects.

With the discovery of Elsweyr and moon sugar, Doctor Venom was called to task again, learning of various ways to process the mysterious Khajit substance into new products to assist with Cobra’s mission, improving on his previous drugs and processes in a massive way. Moving his entire operation to Elsweyr to be closer to the source of his new “favorite substance”, Venom did begin abusing Skooma, which dulled his senses enough to be caught unaware when the Joes and the Renrijra Krin assaulted his compound and destroyed it.
