Force Composition

Front-line forces are equipped with the best machines available to them, prioritizing OmniMechs above everything else. OmniMechs are considered Common choices, while IIC and standard BattleMechs are considered Special choices. Front-line units would not use any Royal BattleMechs.

Second-line forces are equipped with “whatever is available to them”, meaning that it is often composed of an eclectic mix of older OmniMechs and various standard battlemechs, often IIC units. Standard BattleMechs are Common choices, while OmniMechs are considered Special choices. Royal BattleMechs might be pressed into service in Second-Line units as Rare choices.

Solahma units are equipped with “whatever is left” and generally left to fend for themselves as provisional forces. Standard BattleMechs still make up the bulk of their unit, but they will be forced to field Royal BattleMechs as Special Choices. OmniMechs generally are not available to Solahma units, except as Rare Choices for older or disgraced commanders.

Both Clan Fire Mandrill and Blood Spirits have “sub-par” warriors compared to many of the other Clans, with their Regular troops being at the level of Inner Sphere warriors (G4/P5) and their Veterans being the equivalent of a Regular Clan warrior (G3/P4)
