Shengli Arms

Shengli Arms was created as a response to the lack of weapon’s production in the Capella Confederation at the tail end of the Succession War. Reconfiguring an old Star League production line and combining this with exploiting the Helm’s Memory Core, Shengli Arms became one of the first advanced production plant in 300 years. Fully refurbished and ready to go by the reign of Sun-Tzu Liao, Shengli started developing new machines, but more importantly, new technologies for the Confederation to use.

Recent History

After the Jihad seriously damaged their facilities, Shengli invested in rebuilding their production lines and expand it. Production focused on the new Dola and Jinggau BattleMechs, with the Yu Huang lines being mostly destroyed. This damage was mostly repaired when the Victoria War forced the corporation off-world. During the 40 or so years the facility was under Federated control, it was managed by Kallon Industries, which stole the patent and information on the Paladin Defense System amongst other things.

Having retaken the world in 3144, Shengli noticed that Kallon had repaired and refit a lot of their production lines, including the Yu Huang line which was planned to rebuild the lost Templar plant. Shengli is currently trying to demystify the OmniTech information that was left in the facility to potentially develop a new version of the Jinggau or Yu Huang. Shengli was also happily purchasing equipment from Clan Sea Fox, but they lost access to their providers as the New Star League entered a conflict with House Liao.

Manufacturing

This facility was built off an old Star League weapon’s manufacturing and refit yard. Being underground, it was protected from direct orbital assaults, but suffered damage over the years, mostly during the Jihad where some of their production lines were crippled and they lost a significant amount of personel. Thanks to reinvestment and sponsorship from the government, they were able to mostly rebuild.

Effective Technology Level

Shengli is one of the most advanced military corporations in the Capellan Confederation. This is in no small part due to their close association with the Victoria Academy of Arms and Technology, which provides them some of their best graduates every year. The whole facility having been a former Star League facility simplified the deployment and creation of the necessary material facilities. Shengli specializes in typical Capellan equipment, like the Stealth Armor and Triple-Strength Myomer. They have access to an orbital endo-steel mill, ferro-fibrous foundry and advanced components for Light, XL Engine and Double Heat Sinks.

Shengli Arms, however, does not have access to any Clan technology outside what they can procure from foreign suppliers. They have been working on securing production of Clan ER PPCs for a variety of their designs, but they currently have to rely on importing them from Clan Sea Fox, which has cut them off after the foundation of the New Star League.
