Anjelah Camacho

Anjelah Camacho is the commanding officer of Camacho’s Caballeros since 3106. She has a reputation as a successful commander and MechWarrior. Nonetheless, many are worried that she is trying to do things her age would prevent. A few pilots amongst the Camacho’s Caballeros are saying she might be becoming senile, usually in hushed tones. Her recent contract with Fontaine Marik has tied the faiths of her unit to that of the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey, for better or worse.

Early age

Anjelah Camacho is the daughter of Caballeros’ officer Cassiopeai Suthorn, and married Jesus Camacho as soon as their parents agreed. Both had trained with the mercenary regiment to become MechWarriors. They worked amazingly well together. This gave motivation to many other young citizens of the Southwest Trinity Worlds to join the Caballeros. This also kept morale up for the entire unit.

Disaster struck during a routine operation in 3106. Jesus Camacho was caught in the open when facing a group of pirates using amazingly advanced weapons. When Anjelah and her lance met up with his unit, it had been destroyed and the warehouse they were guarding thoroughly looted. Anjelah took command of the 17^th Recon Regiment from that point on. She tried hunting down the pirates who killed Jesus for 6 years, to no avail.

Recent history

Serving with the Dragoon

Having lost hope of bringing the killers of her husband to justice, Anjelah took a contract with the Wolf’s Dragoons to raid the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey. They served along the famed Gamma Regiment along with the Spiders Web Battalion and fought against the Second Tamarind Regulars. While the contract was not a complete success, this gave the Caballeros a victory they needed to rebuild their image.

Fighting for the Commonwealth

The next major contract Anjelah signed up for was with the Lyran Commonwealth, again in a fight with the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey. Fighting against the Third Tamarind Regulars, the Caballeros took Simpson Desert with Anjelah leading her troops to victory directly. During the follow up fight on Tamarind itself, she was injured early in the battle before their unit was heavily damaged.

Serving the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey

Recovering and rebuilding their forces, Anjelah Camacho still had to command her troops against the Tamarind Regulars. The newly reformed Free Worlds League wanted to make sure the Southwest Trinity Worlds would not be a threat to their border. After being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers brought forth by Fontaine Marik, Anjelah Camacho surrendered and asked for her regiment to be put in service of the FWLM and the Tamarind Regulars.

Since then Anjelah’s performance have been good, but many of her own soldiers think she is selling out the Caballeros to the Tamarind Regulars. The old woman did not lead her forces against the Marian Hegemony due to an illness during the War of Marian Aggression.
