LexaTech Industries is a minor weapons supplier for the Draconis Combine. They were originally best known for their production of the Stinger LAM on Irece, but this facility was levelled by Clan Nova Cat during Operation REVIVAL. Since then, they have been working hard on upgrading and maintaining their plant on Hun Ho V.
Recent history
LexaTech Industries was almost unaffected by the Jihad, however they had no models of their own, only building machines under license and spare parts. During the “military drawdown” from the Republic of the Sphere, the Combine used LexaTech as a mean to show they were complying. The company was asked to mothball “any new model” they were building, stopping the production of the Cerberus outside of spare parts..
After the Clarion Note, the Draconis Combine ramped up military production in every available factory. LexaTech was commissioned to build mainly spare parts and replacements for existing machines. Their main production concentrated on the 9M Archer and 6K Grasshopper. It wasn’t until engineer Hikaru Jenius introduced the Armored Stinger that LexaTech Industries began producing “their own product again”.
With a massive demand for their new combat-ready scout ‘Mech, LexaTech expanded their operations on Hun Ho V to add 2 new production lines. LexaTech Industries are still wanting to restart production on the Stinger LAM if they can.
Plants
With the loss of their Irece plant, the only factory still controlled by LexaTech is located with their headquarters on the semi-paradise world of Hun Ho V. Over the years, they have begun employing a significant portion of the population on Bergen in one way or another.
Recently, LexaTech has partnered with Blackwell Heavy Industries to start production of the Armored Stinger in the Federated Suns. This is to avoid legal repercussions from the Combine in providing equipment to enemies of the state. The new facility on New Valencia is scheduled to open in 3155.
