Emilio Wolf, of Bloodhouse Cuffe, is the lead scientist on Project Lupa or using genetically enhanced animals to control ProtoMechs for Clan Wolf. A middling man in most of his life, Emilio has worked throughout his life on animal husbandry. His speciality was work animals, like draft horses, sheep dogs and such. After the Battle of Terra, he worked on Terra with the survivors of the Clan.

Youth

Emilio Wolf was competent enough in his sibko. Unfortunately, his results showed throughout his training never put him anywhere “near the top”. The instructor decided to transfer him out of the combat company to the Scientist caste when Emilio proved he was more skilled at studying than shooting.

Completing his training as a member of his new caste, Emilio’s speciality went into zoology and genetics. His first important work was to improve the health of flocks of ducks used by the labor caste as food animals. He transferred to Alpha Galaxy to work on genetic engineering.

Promotion

While working on figuring how to improve more work animals, Emilio was given the position of head scientist in the Clan Wolf ProtoMech program. His predecessor was executed by Garner Kerensky after wasting development time and resources. Wanting to avoid the same fate, Emilio started working on Project Lupa.

With advanced, highly intelligent wolf-coyote-work dogs hybrids, Emilio was able to advance his Clan’s ProtoMech research. A lot of it had to do with Bergan / Mitsubishi’s modification to control systems of these machines. With his assistant Marcia, a specialist in small scale weapon designs, Emilio successfully lanched 3 ProtoMechs, the Lupa, the Mastiff and the human controlled Hound Master.

Changing caste

During his time as lead scientist, Emilio’s laboratory was infiltrated by radical eco-terrorists. Those terrorists “released” many animals by grabbing them and fleeing in multiple semi-trucks. Some of these were Emilio’s coywolf test subjects and their pups, which made Emilio panic. As the lab protection detail ignored the problem as the animals “were not their problem”, Emilio got a number of his dogs in Lupa suits while stealing a Septicemia. In the ensuing battle, Emilio destroyed 2 modified IndustrialMechs.

While he knew he would get in trouble for doing this, Star Colonel Ichaerus Ward supported him and convinced ilKhan Alaric Ward to promote the man to the Warrior caste. Saved from potential trouble, Emilio Wolf returned to his scientific team as the “military leader” in charge. His new position allowed him to requisition a few Iron Wombs to move his coywolf project ahead another step.
