Susanna Stims, taking care of Alaric and Chance's children in 3156

Susanna Stims (Wolf prior to the Battle of Terra) was a simple MechWarrior in Chance Vickers (internal) 37th Striker. A simple woman, Susanna followed orders and always kept close to her commanding officer after Alaric Ward (internal) told her to keep an eye on her. Outside the cockpit, Susanna Stims is the opposite of Chance Vickers: demure, soft-spoken and unassertive. While she won her position as Star Commander, she prefers to follow orders and just be part of a star rather than leading one. The one thing she is good at, though, is making sure whoever she is tasked to protect stays alive.

Aftermath of Terra

After the Battle of Terra, Susanna Wolf was given her bloodribbon and she expected to fade into nothingness. Unfortunately for her, and fortunately for others, she was nominated for a Trial of Bloodright for a Stims bloodnamed. Like many combat trials after the Battle of Terra and the ilClan Trial, it was meant to be “bloodless”, which angered many of the participants who wanted the honor of a fight. Susanna Wolf simply took in games of chess, tactical analysis and fist fights with grace and won the trial with relative ease.

With a bloodname secured, Susanna Stims was given opportunities to go up in ranks but refused to participate in any Trial of Position. She was content to remain Chance Vickers’s bodyguard, even out of her BattleMech. Susanna Stims learned quite a bit from the various meetings Chance had with the corporate power brokers and other minor lords petitioning to speak with Clan Wolf. Her ability to “sit pretty and shut up” was praised by a few corporate head honchos who were used to deal with other loudmouths.

Battle of Yorii

As Clan Hell’s Horses challenged the Wolves to a Trial of Possession for Terra, saKhan Vickers reassigned Susanna Stims temporarily to Alaric Ward’s Silver Keshik. The bodyguard was given strict orders that “nothing bad should happen to the ilKhan”. Throughout the engagements on the planet, Star Commander Stims stuck close enough to Alaric Ward that the ilKhan had to tell her to back off a few times, to which she replied, with unusual assertiveness: “No sir, I was told to keep an eye on you at all times”. While her overall “kill count” in the Battle of Yorii was low, it was her shots that led to the demise of multiple ‘Mechs and vehicles threatening the ilKhan, with them being finished off by Alaric or his other starmates.

Return to Terra

Susanna Stims returned to Terra and refused again to join any Trial of Position to advance within the Clan. Alaric Ward reassigned her as bodyguard of Chance Vickers, protecting his now pregnant “wife”. While out of combat at the time, Susanna Stims participated in multiple strategic meetings with the leadership of the New Star League, where she grew attached to Clan Thunder Boar’s Max Ergen (internal).

Capellan – Star League War

When the Capellan – Star League War started in earnest, Star Commander Stims was “shared” between the two Khans of Clan Wolf, serving both in the Battle of New Earth as bodyguard of Alaric Ward, and as part of the hunting team chasing down Danai Liao (internal). Against her wish, she was promoted to Star Captain by Alaric Ward after the Battle of New Earth, but not given command of a Trinary at her request.
