Anastasia Kerensky’s career at the start of the rule of Alaric Ward (internal) is somewhat strange, having been reassigned to be second to Miriam Shaw (internal) in the Omega Galaxy as the ilKhan did not trust the former Khan of the Wolf-in-Exile enough. This did not strip the Steel Widow of any command, however, as Omega Galaxy basically was “double the size” of most other military outfits having 2 Galaxy Commanders leading them. Alaric had the respect of both women in charge of the Omegas in different ways, and they were ready to follow his commands.

War for the Wolf Empire

During the tripartite invasion of the Wolf Empire by the Wolf’s Dragoons, Free Worlds League and Lyran Commonwealth, Omega Galaxy was dispatched as soon as they were functionally equipped (albeit poorly) to reinforce Star Colonel Othar’s (internal) forces. As Rikkard’s (internal) Nova Cats had mobilized his forces to the Lyran border, this put the Omegas to face off against the Marik forces. The campaign against Fontaine Marik’s (internal) carefully selected forces led Anastasia Kerensky to fight against one Trenton Marik (internal) which she remarked would make a fantastic bondman if he could be captured. Being forced to deploy rapidly from world to world, Anastasia Kerensky noticed that communications were simplified by dealing with Lloyd’s of New London new internal communication system, which she bought in heavily, up to the point of keeping a “mobile Lloyd’s field office” with her own etat-major.

As the pressure from the FWLM diminished due to the Marian Hegemony’s assault on the Free Worlds League, Anastasia Kerensky redirected her forces to the Lyran border and to hunt down the Wolf’s Dragoons. While her role in this operation was minimal, she was present on Gienah as Loremaster Aberdeen Metha declared a large number of Trials of Bloodright, with Anastasia being official the leader of the Kerensky Bloodhouse, she presided over 3 quick Trials for lost Kerensky Bloodnames to warriors who had participated in the defense of the Empire.

War in the Reaches

During the War of the Reaches, Anastasia Kerensky kept an eye on the Magistracy of Canopus and Duchy of Andurien from afar. Keeping peace in the Wolf Empire mainly near the Capellan border, she infiltrated a few agents of the Watch into both nations, with which she kept in contact thanks to her friendship with the Corporate Alliance. It was Anastasia which reported to Alaric that the two minor states had a few functional warships, one of which they provided to the Froncian puppet.

Capellan – Star League War

Anastasia Kerensky was at the very front of the Capellan – Star League War, with Omega Galaxy being the first one deployed to Sirius to fight against Daoshen Liao’s (internal) elite personal guard. As a “double strength” Galaxy led by some of the most veteran commanders in the Star League, this was a natural deployment, but still a major honor for the “twin” commanders of the Galaxy. Things quickly took a turn for the worse, however, as Miriam Shaw was killed by Daoshen Liao. Anastasia Kerensky kept commanding the Wolf’s force on Sirius, even though she had first thought she would be relieved by Chance Vickers (internal), who was pregnant unbeknownst to the Steel Widow and the rest of Clan Wolf.

Galaxy Commander Kerensky served perfectly as the main commander on the Sirius front, ordering Ghost Bear, Wolf and Jade Falcon forces to strike and defend against numerous Liao assaults. This changed on 09 March 3154, where Anastasia Kerensky was grievously injured, forcing her to return to Terra while Alaric Ward took direct control of the fight on Sirius. After recovering from her injury and learning of Chance Vickers and Alaric’s twins, Anastasia forbade Chance Vickers for leading the task for chasing Danai Liao (internal), leading the force which would take down the Capellan princess directly. Finally cornering Danai on Castor, the Steel Widow killed the princess as the rest of the McCarron’s Armored Cavalry defected to Clan Wolf.

Personal life

Anastasia Kerensky was named “bloodgod-mother” to Alaric Ward’s twins after she learned of their existence, and she swore she would keep the twins safe whatever would happen. Anastasia Kerensky learned that her bloodfather was Phelan Kell while she was recovering on Terra as Docteur Duschatel, the Ward-Vickers “family doctor”, had to regrow a hand for her.

Battlemech

Anastasia Kerensky piloted a Mad Cat Mk IV for the start of this era, but after losing it on Sirius, she was given a new Ryoken II customized like her old Steel Wolf unit.
