Henry Kincaid is the last commanding officer of the Wolf’s Dragoons mercenary unit before their destruction by a joint task force from Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon. He had to take control of the Dragoons after their loss of face during the ilClan trial and the rebuke to them by Alaric Ward. One of his first action as the new commanding officer of the Dragoons was allowing for the suicide of Thomas Brubaker, before executing Nicholas Crews for treason. He let his hatred for Clan Wolf fester, taking the slap in the face of the 30 pieces of silver worse than most members of his unit. Using the forces he had under his command, Henry Kincaid began a vendetta against the Wolves by striking vulnerable worlds in the Wolf Empire, independent of the FLWM and LCAF.
War against the Wolves
Henry Kincaid rallied as many “loyal” Dragoons to himself, his plan was to cause as much trouble as possible in the Wolf Empire to force Alaric Ward off Terra and kill him in a trial or a duel. “Hack” Kincaid made a mistake in his evaluation of the situation, however. Star Colonel Othar (internal) proved to be a better steward of the Empire than he had expected, combined with the quick support provided by the reborn Clan Nova Cat under Rikkard (internal). With limited support, Henry Kincaid began enacting “providential raids” on various non-Wolf establishment for supplies, which led him to alienate many corporate entities, starting with Renault-Peugeot Automotive and Ford Interstellar after a raid on the planet Ford.
Losing support while the Wolf Empire was gaining more allies, Kincaid pushed his men harder and harder for success and “at least one good victory”. Marotta Kerensky, which Kincaid had put in solitary confinement since their return from Terra, was rescued by Dragoon officers who wanted to defect, with Marotta commandeering the Chieftain and using a Traveler’s ship to return to Gienah. This allowed Marotta to provide Stephanie Chistu (internal) and Othar Shaw the location of the secret Wolf Dragoon headquarters.
Death and Legacy
Their headquarters discovered, Henry Kincaid defied the New Star League forces, who sent the Wolf’s Dragoons an ultimatum: those who want to leave service of the Dragoon and rejoin Clan Wolf can do so. The rest would die on a forgotten world. Kincaid, in a fit of rage, insulted Stephanie Chistu and demeaned Othar Shaw and said none of his men would defect, but after a day, 4 dropships had left the planet, including officers like Haya Tetsuhara (internal). Kincaid gathered his forces for a fight against the New Star League, but Othar Shaw gave him no quarter, and ordered a complete orbital annihilation of the world from orbit from the Jade Aerie and the Jerome Winson.
Henry Kincaid finally destroyed the reputation of the Wolf’s Dragoons by having the fabled mercenary unit act like pirates in their last years, all in the hunt for revenge against Clan Wolf.
