Overview:

The Viespe VSP-11 is a heavy VTOL gunship built to hunt and destroy other VTOL. Not the cheapest design around, it is meant to fly in large numbers to intercept lighter threats to both mech forces and other vehicles.

One of the first products built by Yung Weapons, led by Andrew Yung of Clan Sea Fox, the Viespe has been seen in large amounts in the forces of the Aurigan Trade Alliance, Taurian Concordat and Calderon Protectorate, as well as planetary militias of the Federated Suns near the Rimward Periphery.

Capabilities:

The main weapon of the Viespe is a massive Hyper Assault Gauss 20, which is meant to be used to fill the air with as much shrapnel as possible to deter incoming attack helicopters and other light vehicles. A pair of Martell X Small X-Pulse Lasers are also mounted on each side of the cockpit to allow for dogfighting at closer range. With a top speed fo about 130kmph, it can easily outmanoeuvre their main target and prey, the Yellow Jacket Attack Gunship.
