Icestorm VTOLAM

Overview:

Clan Hell’s Horse started experimenting with VTOLAM technology on their own version of the Locust VTOLAM and quickly wanted to design something else to capitalize on this new technology. The design they decided to convert was the Icestorm, a design which had more or less been abandonned since the downfall of Clan Ice Hellion. While the speed of the design was lowered, the addition of 10 Jump Jets was regarded as a safe modification for speed and manoeuvrability. Conversion equipment was rather different on this design than the Locust as the design was a standard humanoid bipedal ‘mech, but it gave experience to the Hell’s Horse scientists. Armed with an ER Medium Laser and a Streak 2-tubes SRM, the Icestorm VTOLAM is not the most heavily armed machine, and scientists quickly moved to start designing omniVTOLAM after understanding how the systems worked.
