Overview:

While the Viespe was meant to be an export model, the Libelula Hunter VTOL is meant to be used by Andrew Yung’s Lone Aimag and their closest alllies, like Flanagan’s Highwaymen. Using a similar body structure and airframe as the Viespe, all technology on this hunter helicopter is Clan-graded, from the 5 tons of ferro-fibrous armor to the XL engine powering it. Far rarer than the now relatively common Viespe, Libelulas are also used as command units in ‘swarms’ of Viespes at time.

Capabilities:

Like it’s more common cousin, the Libelula packs a massive HAG/20 as their main gun, with 3 tons of shrapnel ammo, meant to deter other light vehicles and take down enemy VTOL. Rather than the less optimized X-Pulse laser of the Viespe, regular Clan-grade small pulse lasers are mounted on the Libelula, giving it both more range and punch even with its energy weapons. With a top speed of 160kmph and 5 tons of Ferro-fibrous armor, the Libelula is a real threat to most enemies it face.
