Killer W.H.A.L.E. Description
The Killer W.H.A.L.E. (Warrior: Hovering Assault Launching Envoy) is a heavy utility hovercraft by S.L. Lewis Incorporated, creators of the wildly successful Savannah Master. A completely different design, the Whale is meant to serve as support vehicle, search and rescue unit and support units for amphibious units. General Hawk saw this design at the bottom of a pile of “potential designs” by the Lyran high command, ignored by everyone. Hawk rescued the design and placed an order for a hundred units, both for the Joes and for coast guard forces of various, poorer worlds of the Federated Commonwealth as a gesture of goodwill.
Weapons and Equipment
Variants
- Cargo: The W.H.A.L.E cargo replaces the SRM4s with SRM2s to add 2 tons of cargo room, both for troops and regular cargo.
- Search and Rescue: The W.H.A.L.E. Search and Rescue is not meant for combat, replacing all weapons but the machine guns with 5 tons of cargo space and a Bloodhound Active Probe.
- LRM: A simple refit of the W.H.A.L.E., replacing the SRM4 for a pair of LRM5s.
