The first TinStar by Oswald

This is the TinStar battle armor by Oswald. Part of the Police Event 2024.

The TinStar was developped for the Fonc Reaches Colonial Marshals using technology that should have been much to advanced for them to use… until you realize Holt’s Hilltoppers basically got the expertise in design from Clan Sea Fox. The original design incorporated Clan technology for the armor and such, while the true “production model” is using strictly Inner Sphere materials. With a Support PPC and a Gauss Rifle (depending on the model, the type varies), as well as an Anti-Personnel Weapon Mount, this medium battlearmor will be a threat to anyone who wants to challenge the Fronc Reaches or their allies.

Internal note on the TinStar:

Flanagan’s Repair and Refits, on Artru, does not provide service to Battlearmors. Our mercenary division, however, has been trying to acquire a certain number of TinStar to supplement our combat units. The idea would be to have a more locally produced unit rather than the more standard Elemental Battlearmor. With the recent Reaches War and the alliance between the two Reaches, it is quite likely that we will get some deal, and the “original” design will become more standard as Clan battlearmor plates will become available to the Hilltoppers.

It is quite likely the Taurian Concordat and Calderon Protectorate (or both as they are about to be fused again) will also want to purchase a few sets of these in the near future for their new marine corp which will be fielded in their new Concordat Mark II frigates. This strong commercial alliance between the three major Rimward Periphery members is sure to ensure a more lasting peace between them.
